i have never flew before and have decided to book priority boarding. What is the best seats to sit in?

In my opinion the seats where the emergency doors are are the best as they have plenty of leg room. The only problem is you have to put your hand luggage in the overhead lockers on take off and landing as you can't put them under the seat in front. Being next to the window means you get a view outside whereas an aisle seat means you don't disturb anybody if you need to go to the loo etc. However, these seats don't provide the best view outside as you're on the wings usually.

You get a fantastic view from the front seat on the left.

Usually the Captain gets there first and bags this seat.

i'm still a bit dubius about flying but thought that it was about time i booked flights instead of putting my family through 36hrs of travelling to spain by bus. Having looked at ryanair's planes the seats are in rows of 3 and i have 2 family members travelling with me. So we should all be able to sit together!

seriously tho, as coccinelle said the emergency exit seats have plenty of leg room and also as you enter from the front the first seats on the right have more leg room.

thank you for your replies. I have aready booked my flights with ryanair from glasgow to reus. I just hope this was not a mistake as i ave now heard a lot of bad press about them. Och well i will get there faster than the bus at least.

I've been on Ryanair a few times with no problems! Priority seating is a bit of a con, all it means is you go through the gate first, once onto the tarmac it's a free for all, get one of your party to dash on ahead and secure decent seats. Go for the back door if possible, most queue for the front and we've often been seated before the "priority" people are boarded. If there are 2 of you, sit in window and aisle and put a jacket on the middle to make it look occupied, you may have to move it eventually, but it can work! The emergency row seats have fixed armrests and I prefer to be able to raise the armrests at the expense of leg room which, contrary to expectations I find no worse than many other airlines.

makes no difference on Ryan Air, you are all in cattle class and are squashed in tight. You get what you pay for but are not on for too long. I would not waste the extra money on priority boarding.

I'll back CC1's suggestion of going to the rear of the aircraft. If you're a first-time flyer it might NOT be a good idea to look out of the window as the plane takes off. (Unless you're the type of person who enjoys fairground rides you might find that your stomach contents don't want to stay in place!). The trick is to stare straight ahead, focussing as far away as possible. That's easiest if you're at the back of the aircraft.

Don't let that put you off flying though. (I love it!). As soon as you're properly in the air you can look out of the window and enjoy the view. (After you've made a few flights you'll be able to look out of the window during take-off without any adverse effects).

Hi colette
I've travelled with ryanair loads as they're cheap but that's the only reason why people fly with them! I think it's quite amusing really to travel with them and watch what the poor crew have to put up with! I mean I'd always dreamt of being an air hostess when i was young cos it looked so glamerous and then you see these poor stewards walking along the aisle with dustbin bags and scratch cards - how degrading for them.
All in all you get from A to B in good time (they're very rarely late) so cheaply there's nothing to complain about. Remember that your holiday starts at your destination and not at Glasgow airport! but like me you can be quite amused by the 'ryanair way of travelling'.
By the way, this comes from somebody who travelled with Air France before Ryanair existed; I now travel 6 times as much....

If you are quick you can overtake the priority passengers on the tarmac, this really p!sses them off!
