What would be a good amount of spending money to take to Turkey
We are a family of 5 two adults and kids aged 18 , 16 and 11 going abroad for first time to Turkey we were just wondering what would be a good amount of spending money to take , we dont want to scrimp and scrape and want to have a good time whilst out there , we were thinking 1500 to 2000 pounds , is this a good amount or not ? any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks in advance , oh we are there for 7 days and we are not all inclusive .

Add in more for lunch and drinks during the day if you're there at a hot time of year.As for the rest, it'll depend where you're going - if you're on a beach you might want to do a local excursion or two; if you're in Istanbul there's lots to see.
Or take travellers cheques or a travel cash card. If either are lost or stolen replacements can be obtained very quickly (at least in the case of travellers cheques), which cash can't!
