Can anyone tell me if there's anywhere to get a snack and a beer on, or very near, Kings Cross station, we'll only have an hours wait before getting on our train so don't want to walk too far. TIA x

There's a Mcdonalds just opposite, also a few small shops and even a bar on the station itself.
If you walk out of the front of the station there are a couple of pubs - O'Neills is across the Euston Road and there is another just to the right on this side of the road. They aren't great though.
There's a huge cafeteria in Kings Cross station......plus you can get into the MacDonalds from the station concourse.......and as has been said there's a pub on the concourse as well.
Get a beer and snack at Champaigne Bar at St. Pancras station next door.
Don't recall if they serve beer but the French Sandwich place in St Pancras Station next door does some lovely baguettes with proper French fillings. Its by the door on the Kings Cross side of the station.
Could try Cafe Anglaise but keep away from the custard
There is a web site that tells you what is there

There is quite a nice waiting area at KC too - seats and displays the train timetables too

Thank you all so much xx
Craft1948 can't have been to Kings Cross lately. The station is being redeveloped and there is currently no pub at the station. Further, while there are various take-away outlets (including Burger King) you have to cross the road to find McDonald's or any other 'eat in' place. (There's one branch of McDonald's almost opposite the station entrance, just off to your right as you leave, but I find it easier to turn left out of the station and cross the road to the McDonald's you'll see in front of you).

If you're looking for a pub, turn left out of the station, then left again alongside the station and first right. There are several bars along there.

Alternatively there's a really nice pub (the Betjeman Arms) within St Pancras International station, which is just across the road (to your right) as you leave Kings Cross station. There are also other eating facilities (including Carluccio's, which serves Italian food at reasonable prices) with St Pancras International.

Wlak round the corner to St Pancras, there are some excellent bars and restaurants on the new station concourse.
