can anyone tell me the approximate flight time for the journey manchester to orlando via 1 stop in chicago

I don't know the precise answer because it can vary depending on the route. I suggest you go online at the airline in question and go through the motions of "booking your flight" and go as far as the point where you see the departure and arrival times. I think I am correct to say they are 5 hours ahead of UK in time, so add the 5 onto the arrival time and you can work out the difference.
Barring any delays, MAN to ORD is 8 hours 25 minutes, ORD to MCO is 2 hours 5 minutes.  Looks like the minimum connection ground time is approximately 3 hours in ORD...(Terminal change)... Welcome to the U.S.!
Flew to Chicago a couple of weeks ago from Manchester. It took about 9 hours to get there (but only about 7 coming back - strong winds!). You may have to change terminals at Chicago but there's a neat little train you can get, so no problemo.
