las vegas discount vouchers

We are thinking of visiting Las Vegas and have been told that when there you can get free magazines or booklets with discount vouchers in for restaurants shops etc. I believe they are very handy as they also list numerous restaurants and shops. Has anyone any idea  how I can get copies of these before I go to Las Vegas.  Thank you

I'm not sure about Vegas as I haven't been, but in Florida when we went we picked up loads of booklets etc with vouchers in. You can't get them before you go but they should be very readily available when you get there, we found them in shops, tourist ofices, hotel rooms, and in the restaurants themselves.

We tried to get similar booklets before we went last year, but could only get some when a friend visited before us. To be honest the books were ok, but we found lots & lots of deals when we got there without them. You cannot go far wrong with a good guide book such as the AA Spiral Vegas book which I bought at Waterstones.

We found that when we got there all best plans were thrown out of the window, as the place really takes you over! You won't be stuck for things to do & the guides you speak about are available on the street. If you are staying near TI (used to be known as Treasure Island) there is a good stand outside that has all the touristy stuff to hand, just be firm with the touts.

To be honest abut it, the best restaurants and shops don't issue vouchers. Anyway you are unlikely to be left looking for either, or books of vouchers, so forget about pre-arming yourself with lists. Previous posters said it all. Just go and enjoy it.

When we went last year we downloaded some vouchers from our hotel's website, but never got round to using them! There were more in the room when we arrived, and we kept being given different vouchers all over the place. We didn't see half the things we had planned to see, but saw loads of things that we didn't plan to see. We are going back in September, and this time we are just going to go with the flow! Enjoy!
