Been told its fairly small nothing like Gatwick, but the reviews say its disgusting, dark and dingy, toilets are filthy, hardly any shops, restaurants very expensive. x
ummmm, you have to check in just as early at Luton as at Heathrow, so the more shops you have the more you can while the time away in them. You don't have to buy anything (I never do, who needs extra stuff to lug on holiday with you).
you're living life on the edge there, ummmm... Luton's got a lot of cheap airlines (not just Ryanair and EasyJet): arrive late and you go home again. (In fact you can even be denied boarding if you arrive in time but they can't handle their own queues, though I think only Ryanair would do that.)
that'd be the Gatwick where the fingers are a mile long and the moving walkways don't move and there are never enough immigration officers? Or maybe there's another Gatwick.
