real life urban fire fights
im curious if anyone knows this. obviously, i can saftley say ive never been in a real life urban fire fight! ive noticed in films (which i know arent accurate reference points anyway!) every time most soldiers always aim down the iron sights when running down a corridor, looking round a corner, entering a room, whatever. their always looking down the iron sights or through a scope
is this realistic? my only real life comparions are airsoft and paintball, but even then i personally find when you aim down the sights, you lose perspective on whats happening to your left and right, because your so focused on the centre of your iron sights, or acog scope or whatever your using.
surley this is actually usless, so i guess they only do it in films for cinematic effect, cuz it just looks cool right?
