interesting/adventure holiday abroad

I want to go away for a week with my 11 year old daughter late March (hoping to bond)! I want somewhere sunny, safe, stuff to do and no driving, any suggestions as I haven't been anywhere!!

What about Centerparks?  Perhaps not sunny but safe and lots to do.

Just got back from a weekend in Valencia, Spain and spent the whole time agreeing with my wife how great it would be to bring the kids here when they are a bit older.  In a nutshell :

• great food at reasonable prices
• lovely old town centre
• great squares to people watch
• classy shopping(if that's your thing)
• 20 minutes to the lovely beach
• great weather
• felt very safe
• Efficient public transport (although there's no choice but to tale a taxi from the airport to city centre)

The only possible down side is that English is not widely spoken so you either need speak a bit of spanish or be happy with 'sign language' & winging it.  We stayed at the excellent 'Ad Hoc Monumental' Hotel
