enough stuff for a personal statement?
13 Answers
I know it's early, but if I haven't got enough stuff for my personal statement for UCAS, I can still do something about it and get more experience or something.
I'm hoping to do marine biology or a similar subject, aswell as good enough grades, will this be enough?
1) Stats grade - the most important part of the maths to the uni courses (if better than average maths)
2) sea cadets . . . i'll have been part of it for 4 years and an instructor by then.
3) Marine conservation society . . . I joined it and will be doing beach surveys/ cleanups soon (so will have done some before submitting my application)
4) sealife centre job (if I get it) Plus they do a lot of conservation rather than the local theme park which unaturally shows animals off, making them do tricks.
5) scuba diving (in majorca and lanzarote) and hopefully i'll go on a marine conservation kinda holiday for a few weeks in the summer of 2012, which i could mention.
6) engineering project (we went to an engineering company yesterday and we'll have to work on a problem that involves maths in the real world, we then have to present our answers in a couple of weeks infront of aload of people!)
7)I also have a few RYA boating qualifications, including power level 2 (displacement).
That's all I can think of that's relevant at the moment, but i might remember more in a bit
