Enjoyed the film but I think the only way is not to compare the two. Did wonder whether, because there was so much more in the book, I would have understood the film if I hadn't read the book first.
One critism though, the final scene in the book took up one page of text and is so powerful but they didn't use it in the film - what a waste. Why oh why did they use a different ending?

it left me very 'quiet and thoughtful' for a while afterwards... i think its because you really get to know and feel for the the characters, clare and henry, dont you...
tut, what they dont do that very last scene in the film??! .... the one where it nips to 2043...?... :o(
thanks francis, i was hoping to pick up another of her books as i really liked her style of writing, so i will certainly look out for 'Her Fearful Symmetry'... :o)
