i am a frequent visitor of the channel islands,i hope you have a lovely time count-a-strong has given you the link but you must try and take in herm and sark if you like quiet island getaways...not to mention guernsey and jersey..

Thanks both - and yes Alderney, Count - thanks for the link, and Stokemaveric, as you go often what's the best way to get to Alderney from Guernsey? Flying for a day is very expensive and an struggling to find ferries .... doesn't seem at all easy. Staying on Guernsey from 6th to 10th May, so will be there for Liberation Day - but what else can you recommend to see and do?

OMG!!! The Horse Taxi is no more!!! The horse died at the end of last year!!
if i remember when we went, on a day trip from Guernsey, there were enough horse carriages for all.
