We have some pre euro coins, can anyone tell me what we could do with them? i.e. are they any good to a charity organisation?

Charities will certainly take them - though I'm not sure what they do with them

I take my foreign coins to the post office, ours has a collection box for the Lifeboat Assoc and will put any foreign change in there.
