Disneyworld Florida Holiday

16:36 Mon 24th May 2010 |

It is difficult not to associate a Florida holiday with Disney World Resort – and with good reason, as it offers a range of thrills and spills for the fun-loving family.

Disney is split into four theme parks known as Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and MGM (now called Disney Hollywood) Studios - each has something different for everyone.

Animal lovers will appreciate the range of wildlife on show at Animal kingdom that can be observed on safari rides and if you're feeling a little more adventurous then you can take a heartstopping ride down Mount Everest.

Film-buffs will love the stunt shows and film re-enactments at Hollywood Studios, complete with exhibitions of movie sets and costumes from a number of Disney titles.

Walt Disney's original cartoon-creation Mickey Mouse makes a number of appearances througout Magic Kingdom, but most notably on the musical parades that happen frequently throughout the day.

Those more interested in space and technology may decide to pay a visit to Epcot – which stands for experimental prototype community of tomorrow – could whet their appetite for space-based fun. Epcot takes the visitor on a journey around the world from the warm climates of Africa to the snowy plains of Scandinavia.

Visiting each area of the park could be something of a challenging experience – and one which could need at least a week to take in each park properly. If you plan on visiting the other parks in the Florida area, such as Busch Gardens, Sea World and Kennedy Space Centre then definitely consider booking an extra week to fully appreciate the fun to be had in Florida.
