With around 90 of the best names in retail, including unique boutiques you won’t find anywhere else in Glasgow or even in Scotland. So if you’re looking for fashion or beauty this is the most convenient place to find what you’re looking for or just enjoy a day out with the girls perusing the latest trends. If your aim is to shop till you drop, you have until 6pm most nights or 8pm late night shopping on Thursdays if you’re planning a long weekend away.

Parking for Buchanan shopping centre couldn’t be better, with a car park that offers 2,000 spaces and is open until 11.30pm every day, entrances are situated on Killermont Street and Cathedral Street for easy access. Park on level 3 for direct access to the shops, or on level 5 for direct access to John Lewis.

Afternoon tea, after a long morning of shopping, is essential. The Willow Tea Rooms are situated within the magic of Mackintosh’s famous designs, so you can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while being surrounded by tranquil beauty. With a variety of different settings to choose from including the White Dining Room, which is filled with elegant high backed chairs, leaded glass and bright interior. While the Chinese Room is dark and atmospheric, the perfect place to start the evening off.

Soak up the atmosphere:

Unwind and enjoy a glass of wine in the Ashoka West End Indian restaurant, with a friendly atmosphere buzzing with people. A visit to Glasgow is incomplete unless you try one of Ashoka’a infamous blistering Biriyannis, a blend of rice, meat/vegetables and spices.  The Rogano is the oldest surviving restaurant in the city, which incorporates an art deco style interior, which is harmonized by the seafood menu and comprehensive wine list. This restaurant attracts a fashionable evening crowd so a must to add to the evenings agenda.

If cocktails are on the agenda for a girls night out then there is plenty of choice. Sample some exciting concoctions in Corinthian, located along Ingram Street or the well known Mal Bar, famous for its glamour and ambience, and is situated along West George Street inside the Malmaison Hotel. From East End chic to avant-garde along the west side of the Old Town, Glasgow city has so much to offer you’ll be spoilt for choice.
