Said to be the city of love, Paris is definitely worth a visit for culture vultures and romancing couples alike.

Paris is renowned for being a beautiful city, with many attractions for tourists to see, you will always feel like there is something to do during your time there.

A hop onto the Eurostar in London will see you arrive in Paris within a few hours, with only one or two stops on the way. The Eurostar is known for its comfortable travel - especially for those opting to go first class, with fantastic meals, wine and atmosphere before you hit Paris.

Once you arrive there are a number of things you could check out straight away.

Of course, many will already know about its famous Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, but the destination has many other buildings and attractions worth a visit.

The Pompidou Centre and the Panthenon are among these, along with Notre Dame Cathedral.

For art-lovers, a trip to the Louvre Museum is unmissable – arguably the world's most famous painting, the Mona Lisa, is housed here, along with hundreds of other important works.

This is also a great place for fans of Dan Brown's work too, as the Louvre plays a big role in the film, "The Da Vinci Code".

Meanwhile shopaholics could enjoy a stroll down the Champs Elysees, which features some of the continent's most exclusive designer stores.

After a day of sightseeing, a trip down the River Seine could also be the perfect way to unwind on a break.

Those bringing their children along could also head over to Disney Land Resort, which is located a few miles outside the centre of the city. There is a stop directly from the Eurostar at Disneyland Paris station, so those with luggage for their Disney holiday will not have to walk far to find their accommodation.

For those choosing a trip to Paris, there are a number of transportation options – including taking a train or catching a short-haul flight.
