Hi there,
My laptop has been telling me lately that I am running seriously low on disc space and to free up space as soon as possible, well this morning I tried to uninstall Microsoft Silverlight, I clicked uninstall it then came up do you want to uninstall and I clicked yes after a few moments another box came up asking do I want to allow this programme to update software on this computer and wheather I press yes or no the programme fails to uninstall,
Is there any other way of getting back disc space and why is this happening I have not installed anything on the laptop not even a icture in the last year.
I'm no expert but in the past when I have had disc space messages, it is to do with too many files stored, not operating programmes. I've had to go in and delete documents etc to release up storage space.
..and music....i deleted swathes of music from itunes library..the self loaded stuff...and all of a sudden everything was much faster !!!..I store pics on an external drive for the same reason..
Make use of CCleaner for cleaning unused files from the system which will help operating system to run faster as well as to free space on the disk. For increasing space for storage on the hard disk, You can also removed unused software or files from your system.
