we had notification of the works from the council, one day it said, this started last friday and is still not done. It's a longish road, but the bstards start early and the noise from the vehicles is mind shattering. It's been shaking our home, more earthquake than road works.

emo no i wasnt having a dog at you more the customers where I work. We get little old ladies risking life and limb on icy pavements just to potter to us to get a paper- is it worth it? Then they whinge about the weather with you and while you're polite it does get a bit a bit tiring after the 50th time you've heard it.

i would go along with that, rain is the thing i hate, getting to and from work used to be awful when it was pizzing down.

Nothing worse than being soaked through by 8am and still have a full days work to get through.

A beautiful icy cold crispy frosty morning, just been up the road to the wild garden to let the chickens out and let the dogs run mad, a few more trees came down, dead elm so not worried, quite small will deal with them and the other fallen trees when it warms up a little. Im on annual leave so will have a warm day indoors today me thinks.

we have work colleagues based in Greenland. The accomodation blocks are about 600m from where they need to get to work. A few years ago the weather was so bad the oncoming shift couldnt make the short journey so the current shift had to work 25hrs!

I'm just glad I don't have to get up for work anymore! It's freezing here again (Manchester) and the ice on my car didn't thaw at all yesterday!

It's been between -3 and -6 when I get out of bed in the mornings. Yes, it is freezing! My dog has not been too amused either. With such a hard ground frost, it's taking her ages to decide where to do her business. She does not like squatting on icy leaves, it must be a clear, grassy area. Dog walking takes twice as long in this weather. Brrrrrrrr...think I'll put the heating on

it's the ice i fear the most, even with sensible hardy boots it still catches me out. I will definitely get myself those ice clamps you put on shoes/boots, because i dread another fall like last time.
