In all seriousness people, if you don't NEED to go outside then don't. Mess can be cleaned up later, you could get hit by roof tiles, debris etc, not to mention tress, other vehicles whilst on the road.
Should be trees, not tress.
Exactly paddywak, unless it is life or death people need to stay indoors, fences, roof tiles and gardens can be fixed later.
Just in....been up ladders helping neighbour put temporary felt on summerhouse....lifted all the fencing and stored away...Will have new one put up in spring...picked up all the broken glass , flowers etc....neighbour two down has lost a chunk from her ridge...hope it doesn't get so bad again or her roof may go ! Been down to local shop to get in bread milk etc for the elderly folks here...had more intermittent power cuts so been filling vacuums for them....and now it's snowing !!!!
just looking at the weather forecast on the news. Norfolk and North Kent at risk, then it whisks over to N Germany (where OH happens to be at the moment... ) sounds as if the met office are concerned about being a serious storm. Worst tidal surge in 60 years is forecast.
It may not be so bad in town mazie...I'm very high here...the highest point in the lothians I beleive...wind not so bad now , but it's snowing a blizzard !
