Been lashing with rain all afternoon and the wind has been gradually getting stronger. Have been watching my carpet lift with each heavy gust.

Horrendous weather here in North Wales too. Our cat is in her favourite place - in a box under a radiator!

i am only grateful that the flooding has been very local and minimal here - almost nothing compared with further West.
