Long Shot, Dorset Weather

Booked on an RSPB coach trip to Arne, Dorset for tomorrow. Anyone in the area..... what’s your weather like today, and any idea about tomorrow.
BBC forecast had changed significantly over last 12 hours.
Not keen on spending three hours on a coach and seeing no birds.

Well I'm about 10 miles away and it is pouring, has been all day and that's what BBC weather says. As I'm sure you've seen at the moment it's got rain tomorrow as well but maybe clearing in the afternoon. As long as you have waterproofs I don't think it will spoil your trip too much. Hope your coach driver has planned his route, tomorrow is Weymouth Iron Man and masses of the roads round Weymouth and Dorchester (and where I live) will be closed tomorrow for the cycle part. It won't affect over by Wareham though, it depends where you're travelling from.

Ah there's hardly any wind at all, it was bad earlier in the week right up to yesterday but now just raining.

There is hardly any wind here in East Sussex at the moment and I'm probably roughly half way between you and Prudie. It's trying to rain but not wet the patio completely yet.
Prudie are you near Broadmayne (sorry Jake)?

Wow, didn't realise you had local connections to me. It's not on a route I pass through very often but have gone there specifically a few times to visit the Black Dog :-)

I would cancel. I am in Burton village outside Christchurch. Drizzle all day. Not too windy. Awful drive here earlier. Heavier rain forecasted tomorrow. Were going to take Grand daughters to Liberty's Owl and Raptor centre in Ringwood tomorrow but changed mind.Hoping to clear on Monday and Tuesday.

That's a shame Jakep, do try another time if you can. Arne is a really beautiful reserve to visit, not just for birding but wildlife in general and great countryside and views as well.
