Saturday for those who've lost track of the days, as I almost did.

I have no plans to go anywhere this weekend. There's something really nice about getting home on a Friday and shutting the world out until Monday morning.

I hope Bobbi had a safe journey home from Lanzarote. It's a shame she had to come back to this weather.

Any nice plans for the weekend, anyone? Whatever you're doing, have a very pleasant day x

Morning, 1ozzy. I quite like a weekend doing naff all, particularly at the dreary time of year.

Are you doing anything in that beautiful Aussie weather?
Yep, wasting time, whilst enjoying the warmth ;-)
morning Ladycg xx Oz xx
Hi Minty
Question Author
Morning Minty, how are you feeling? xx

Enjoying the sun is always a valuable use of one's time, 1ozzy, particularly when partaking of something chilled :-)
That hasn't occurred yet, but it will later,,
not feeling great tbh headache is still hovering although not as bad but seem to have a temperature now and feeling nauseous..will have to do a test..hope it isn't another dose !
Question Author
I'm glad to hear it, mate. Don't you go letting the side down ;). How is Mrs Oz?
Question Author
Oh I do hope not, Minty. That's the last thing you want.

The COVID figures are stable here in that they haven't gone noticeably up or down over the last few weeks.
should be ok as had the booster less than 6 months ago..but will test as a precaution
Question Author
It's probably best to test anyway. Damn bugs, that a major reason I hate this time of year.

I'm at 5 weeks now and still have a cough, albeit a now much improved one. I do think we built up an immunity debt and that's why we've had some supercolds over the past couple of years.
may be just a bit of a cold.. have had the flu jab too..thankfully.. as you say the two years isolation period has kind of had an unexpected effect.. corralling has led to an immunity deficit in the more mundane sickness issues.. sure it is nothing really but just feel Bleugh !
Question Author
It's good that you're getting jabbed. The trouble with colds and lurgy is that they'll run their course regardless of what remedies you take.

Whenever I get a cough or cold now it weakens me. A couple of weeks ago I didn't have the strength to faint.
just have to get on with it ! think I will have a fasting day and just drink water and tea.. if there is something brewing in the gut I don't want to feed it..
Question Author
That's a good idea, Minty.

We had a tummy bug going back a couple of months ago. I was already fasting by the time the lurching cramps came on. I fasted from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday morning, which was the best thing I could have done for myself.

I hate feeling sick :( x
I think it is good to fast for a day or two anyway ! especially since I have been eating all manner of rubbish over The Festive season !!
Question Author
I absolutely agree, Minty, and it's known to improve insulin resistance and reduce oxidative stress.

I always feel good after a fast. It has helped my GI symptoms no end in recent times.

It really rejuvenates you.
weather is still rubbish.. think I'll binge on The Rig on Amazon Prime..Martin Compston 6 parter !!

Ah, he of LoD fame! I knew the name but couldn't picture the face so just had a little Google.

I'm not watching anything at the moment. I'm feeling a tad empty now that Handmaid's Tale has reach the end of S5. I could never get sick of watching that.

I really need to finish BB and then move on to Better Call Saul
