Brrrrrr, it's freezing cold! Minus 4 here and a thick frost overnight, and the light snow covering of a few days ago is still now  solid. Pavements look wonderfully  icy lol. Luckily I don't need to go out today,so can just admire from the window. Just need to wrap FIL's birthday  presents, ready to drop over in nxt day or two - he'll be 72 I believe. My in-laws are one of those couples that if you had to guess their ages you'd probably be about 7 or 8 years out - they both look younger than they are, her especially. I just love them to bits. Miss them so so much not being just 15 mins away now that they have moved. I know it's just an hour, or so they keep telling me, but it's still far away enough that I can't just nip in like I used to. : (

So what's everyon3s plans today? Anyone need to go out, have visitors, do any shopping etc etc.....?

Good Morning Smow and everyone. Without breaking into a tv theme tune.. it's lovely to have good neighbours, shame that you can't pop around to annoy the as much as you'd like 😉

Speakink to one of mine yesterday (Rachel... other side to me from pic) with help were shoveling and breaking up all the ice that has formed underfoot... terrible trying to get her car out... she has four daughters all very young upto teenagers... goodness knows where Rachel needed to be or take them. They still seem in good spirits though...

Not too bad here 7 degrees and dry.

Saw chiropractor yesterday, thinks I only need one more appointment, down side is I have got to continue with ice pack. Sternly told me no more heavy lifting for a while.

Off to a party tonight at one of the neighbours where we will get to know more people in the area.  Apparently a lot of us will have/had a connection to Ealing.

Good morning all...dry and getting a bit brighter. Though I doubt there will be any sunshine here. 

I'm waiting for 2 Royal Mail parcels. Nope, make that one now. The Amazon item just came. Now it's just the eBay parcel...which might come later. Just hope it arrives today. 

Toby is next to me...tolerating a few cuddles and bumping my knee while flicking his tail. One day he might get on my lap...I keep hoping.

Good morning everyone. Foggy and icy here, and very,very cold. Don't have to go out today, might even catch up on the ironing, which is a job I hate! Anyone one else have a chore they hate doing? I can happily wash the most baked on dishes, or dust and wash down items but I hate ironing.

Hopefully going to see my friend tomorrow, as we had to cancel because of the snow. I have a windscreen protector with mittens for the wing mirrors and is worth it's weight in gold at this time of year. Looking forward to a good gossip tomorrow.

Morning everyone again! Am still waiting for MrSmow to wake up lol so that I can get dressed! Well I could obv get dressed but don't want to wake him up as he's had such a stressful week. Loving all the snowy photos still Arksided!

Pasta - is Toby  a cat or a dog?? Was going to say if he's a cat then I sympathise lol as my two are both 3 and one has never ever sat on my lap! And neither have ever sat on MrSmows lap.

This is Toby...my grumpy boy. I was told he might never be a lap cat. When I was just back after 2 weeks at my daughter's, he very tentatively put his paw on my knee several times...and thought better of it!

Morning all. Still -3 degrees here but fog has cleared so nice and sunny. Another staying put day, I am hoping it warms up a bit soon, I need to do a few tidying up jobs in the garden. Its too slippy underfoot for me to venture out yet.

Ubasses, your neighbours sound very welcoming. Smow , your in-laws sound lovely.

Pasta - ohhh he's gorgeous! Our two are sisters - Molly is jet black, and Daisy is a tortoiseshell. I have always had cats, and always 2, so never occurred to me that these two wouldn't be exactly the same as all the others and love cuddles, snuggles on lap etc etc...... but no! They will lay on bed at our feet, they will lay on rug right by us when watching tv, they will even get on sofa, but they just do not like sitting on laps. They purr non stop and love being stroked so it's odd. Daisy got on my lap for the first time last year and sometimes comes for a cuddle, but Molly no chance! 🙄🙄🙄

Hi Rosetta, yes it's still freezing here! Lastnight frost still here. Needed to go out and pick something up but couldn't face defrosting the car, so have left it till tomorrow lol,
