Distance between Tenerife North and Tenerife South airports
We've booked an apartment quite close to Tenerife South (Reina) airport and are now looking at our flights. Considering using airmiles to pay for them and have found that Tenerife North has better flight times and is considerably cheaper. Has anyone any idea how long it would take to drive from the North to the South - ie. is it a long way and are the roads OK? Also, has anyone hired a car from Tenerife North airport?
Thanks for any advice.

No...they built the South Airport to cater mainly for the tourist trade but the North Airport has always been used for internal inter-island flights amongst others and is still a well used facility. The plane crash mentioned had very little if any blame at all attached to the airport, and wouldn't have happened at all if it wasn't for a terrorist scare on Gran Canaria.
