My boyfriend and I are going through your typical 'bad patch' in our long distance relationship. We had a break a while back and both decided we wanted to be together as its so amazing between us, however the distance makes things very hard, we communicate a lot via phone convo's and texts etc and try to see each other as much as we can, with me working 2 jobs and him just finished uni (so no money until he manages to secure a job) its even harder finincially etc... and we've both said that something is missing at the mo but we dont want to give up on things as we know it was great in the past so, therefore, it can be again... but just how do you get it back to how it was, without it feeling too forced......? hmmmm, tricky one when u think about it!
clipclop, if it's going to work, it will work. Looks like you will just have to accept the current situation re seeing each other so infrequently. But you will both have to work at it to make it work. Can't you meet up halfway from wherever you each are staying?
Long distance relationships can be hard to sustain, I know, I used to see OH only once a month when we first started out. You have to be very sure of your commitment to each other, and make time to be together - he used to visit for a long weekend once every month, which was what kept us going. I don't know if this is an option for you?
Tough one. I am in a Long Distance relationship too. The set backs are hard. The phone becomes your lifeline. My BF is not a big phone talker so that is our main argument. I wish I had words of wisdom for you. Like Box said it will work if it's supposed to. We have not seen each other since the end of May. He is visiting next weekend. It stinks!
Yeah, We do see each other as much as possible, in the last 2 months iv seen him 3 times each for a week so thats been good, we both said we need to work at it, but its just HOW to do that without it being too forced..... we were going to move in together but we both wanna make sure that we're as 'sound' as possible before we make that kind of commitment.... aka, not like this! lol
