I've just acquired BT Yahoo broadband but don't want to pick up my mail off the webpage, but use my Outlook Express. However the Outlook Express is still connected to my old address at Wanadoo, my previous ISP. How do I change it? Slowly and loudly please; I'm an idiot.

click on tools, accounts, add, mail, give it a name, enter your email address, enter incoming (pop3) server name which should be mail.btinternet.com and outgoing (smtp) - mail.btinternet.com, enter account name (this should be your email address), enter your password, (this is optional) but if you don't, you will be prompted for it whenever you check your mail. the end.

if you get an error sending/receiving goto tools, accounts, highlight your new mail account and select properties, click on the servers tab and put a tick in box next to "my server requires authentication".

if all that works ok, you can delete your wanadoo account, or disable it, under tools, accounts, properties, general, include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing, untick the box.

hope that was loud enough for you.
