1980s Saturday morning TV show
3 Answers
When I was a young child in the 1980s, I have memories of watching a Saturday morning TV show, which I think might have been Going Live. I seem to remember part of the show involved a quiz with a different theme each week: like one week contestants would be put on imitation meat grinders and 'ground' bit by bit into the machine if they got questions wrong, and another week contestants would be placed in glass containers that would fill up bit by bit with imitation custard if they got questions wrong. I remember finding it slightly scary at the time because I was only about four years old and at that age you don't always realise that what you see on TV isn't necessarily really happening. Was the show actually Going Live, and am I right in remembering the game parts of it that I have just described? Or am I thinking of a different TV show?
