I wish to download an app that allows me to include figures and letters (for want of a particular word) into text that isn't usually found on a computer keyboard; things like treble and bass clefs like you see in sheet music. I want to also use punctuation, such as the one that you find above the letter 'e' in the word 'cafe,' and other French and German words

I've already had something that will do that for me, but that was lost when I put my computer in for repair, and I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I appreciate any help in this matter

If you are using Word or similar you can just insert/symbol

é is easy on a keyboard - the AltGr key and e together.

Windows comes with charmap which tells you which of your fonts contain what characters. But you need a font with clefs in it to use that symbol.

There are programmes that show all easier but sorry, been a long time since I downloaded one so can't recommend a particular one.
