I have an old laptop running win xp, yes old I know but quite easy to use, but how do I put on a desktop icon from websites that I use frequently?

Try:- - RIGHT-Click on a blank / unused area of your Desktop - Select 'New' - Select 'Shortcut' - In the ' Type Location of item' window, enter the desired web address e.g. HTTP:// WWW. GOOGLE.
