Most Haunted

Did anybody watch Most Haunted last night - what did you think? It took place in 30 East Drive, Pontefract, and the house is allegedly haunted by one of the most violent poltergeists ever.
I found it quite frightening and can't wait till part 2 next week. Also looking forward to the return of Most Haunted Live on Halloween.

Quite clever acting interspersed with a constant drip-feed of suggestion for viewers who want to 'see things'
Not a single inexplicable event occurred on camera or on record.
It is most noble of Carl and Stu to whack a hot curling iron on their forearms - truly a hit for the team. But I'd suggest taking things a little far.
Which is probably why they quit at the end ie it was getting too hard to make up material without going totally Amityville.
The final footage was interspersed with semi-subliminal 'spooky' shots from Haworth churchyard, cheap trick.
On the other hand, close examination of the areas geological maps confirms the area is riddled with faults and in all likelihood has old unmapped mineworkings. The settling of these and seepage of toxic gases would account for drowsiness, feelings of unease, and creaking.
Be interesting to see if any other parts of the estate are affected by settlement damage.

Thank yous to Old_Geezer and Mosaic for setting out the chronology. That was genuine curiosity, on my part, not a knowing effort to show up MH as a 'derivative work' but the similarity was uncanny.
No harm done, in entertaining people, of course and the disclaimer, in that vein, is clear for all to see, so we cannot label them as frauds (except in a tongue-in-cheek manner). They clearly have a real hoot making these shows and it shows through in their drive and enthusiasm for the subject. I wouldn't begrudge them that.
I only which they took a more scientific approach, looking into the reasons why buildings make noises (for example) when noone is there; all the things which need to be eliminated in order to prove a ghost is properly inexplicable.
The episode where a barn owl hissed at them was a case in point.
