Genuine stuff on eBay

I was looking at Gucci handbags on eBay and wondered what words the sellers used when they were really genuine goods [and not Chinese/HongKong/Bangkok copies!]. I tried looking for 'authentic gucci' but the results bought back bags that were so cheap that they must be copies, I then tried 'genuine gucci' and I got back only a few results that were considerably more expensive. Is the word 'genuine' the one to use when looking for designer stuff and can you trust it?! Thanks

No i wouldnt trust them this happened to me the other day i wanted fake bake tanning lotion searched on it and this moisturiser was made out to be fake bake by the way it was written

Before sellers list an item they have to click on a box to accept that they are selling genuine goods. They are warned they can be suspended if they sell counterfeit goods.

Personally I think this is just for show as i have come across huge amounts of fake goods. Bear in mind a genuine Gucci bag can cost anything from �300+ so i would beware of people selling for less - why would you if you paid a lot more?

A listing is more likely to be 'genuine' if they show pictures of the box, dust bag and Authentification card (all genuine bags have serial numbers). If you are unsure, check a sellers feedback score as buyers will leave honest feedback for you to see.

I bought a Burberry bag that was advertised as genuine and authentic. Was it hell!

I had already checked the feedback and everyone seemed happy so I bought it. When it came, it was so obviously not leather (like advertised) and when I looked closer at the feedback, I did find one that pointed out it wasn't genuine. This was about 4 pages back so I hadn't spotted it the first time.

Basically I don't think that there are any words that will indicate a 100% genuine product - but as has already been said, if it is cheap, it's probably a fake.

But what difference does it make? If you bought the original, everyone thinks its a fake anyway. The copies are often better value and, as many designers have their stuff made in the Far East anyway, its likely to be the same stock. You know you only want it to pose with.

Never buy anything so called genuine from Ebay (sorry to any Ebay traders). If you want the real thing then save up for it! as a friend from Canada once said to me it's the pride in ownership, if you end up buying a fake, it will end up in your wardrobe. The little certificate you get when buying from a genuine store is such a buzz and worth the wait.

To all I think the older and cheaper the better ,if they are older by looks and you should be able to tell, they are the real thing ,to many without tags,would not buy without the tags or wear a bit ,used and real,clean it up.
