I'm hooked on St Agur at the moment, are there any other similar cheeses that aren't so expensive? It's like a spreadable stilton (bit less harsh) in case you've never tried it.

Dolcelatte..italian blue cheese...very moreish !
They do the creamy one 1.49 in Sainsburys or another nice one is Rosenborg Danish Blue Cheese, Extra Creamy 125g for 1.09.

Thanks - are they spreadable or similar in texture to stilton?
The Dolcelatte comes in a spreadable cheese and a hard cheese and the Danish Blue one is sort of in the middle ..best used at room temperature..then it will spread easily on your nice crusty bread !!

Cheers - I'll try em both
country_boy, I know what you mean about St Agur - it's so moreish!!

The Laughing Cow is a superbly smooth and creamy spreadable cheese.

what's wrong with that? do you know something i don't. please share.

have you ever had a grilled cheese sandwitch? any cheese works and it's delish. i like strong cheeses, soft, runny, gooey cheese.
St Agur and friends are creamier and lighter on the palate but Stilton is still the daddy.
