What Is This White Substance At The Back Of My Throat?

Hey,so for i while i have been having this white substance stuck in the back of my throat. It isn't a liquid substance it is solid, and it attends to be at the back of my throat, and around my tonsil. I have been to the Doctors about it, and they refereed me to the hospital. I have been getting it for around 6 months now, and it is like the size of a pea. I have been getting it out with a cotton-bud and it just feels like their is something contently stuck at the back of my throat. It doesn't hurt it just feels weird, like when i swallow it just feels weird. I have no idea what is causing it, i am 13, i eat healthy, and i do quite a lot of sport like dancing and swimming. If anyone has any idea on what it is or how to get rid of it could you please let me know. I am having a camera put down my throat on the 22nd December, and does the camra hurt :( many thanks
