Really good episode tonight. Kept me on my toes. I felt they went out with a bang for final episode.
Glad it ended as it did.

I stayed at Rick Steins hotel (I didn't pay) - would have been lush if I ate breakfast & wasn't so nervous (we are going back a while)
Question Author
Sher how come you didn't pay?
Gawd, Padstow is pretty much Steinsville now, sherr. He's taking it over bit by bit.
Nearly 9 quid for fish and chips from his take away chippy !.

We had a meal at his restaurant, not good, OH had steak and kidney pie. I think there was two pieces of meat in it. He complained and got his meal free.
Mine was OK though.
I'm not surprised, Caran.
I loved it, but not sure where they can go now they are back together.
Thought it was an irritating story. But I like doc Martin, and I am pleased they seemed to be back together. Will there be another series? Does anyone know? Hope there is.
I didn't pay, the local education authority did - it was supposed to be two nights in his b & b, but it was shut so I was upgraded.
sherr, was it that place of his on that pretty steep hill ?.
I've just had a Google and it was St Petroc's.
Ah, not very far from Padstow though, sherr.
Port Isaac - a Cornish village ruined and, guess what, Martin Clunes has a house in the area...... Padstow too, the best restaurant is the one non-Stein, No 6 Ainsworth, given a one star and probably pushing two, a Nathan Outlaw protegé......
Maybe I'm wrong then, it was definately in Padstow.
St Petroc's.

Yes that is the name of his hotel, sherr.
I think that was the end. There might be a christmas special though.
and the blessed rick has never had a star - and, guess what, I am not surprised. Now his fish and chippy, it's pricey and the most expensive mushy peas I have ever seen (over £2 for a small portion, the size of a ramekin).

However, finishing off the meal with the chance to try Trevelyan ice cream from Looe, also £2, is clever marketing as that is good value and that 'comforts' the cost.... I'm fortunate, as we get 20 percent off in his Falmouth establishment....Ta, bro-in-law
He's a robbing git imo, DT. Very much a 'Marmite' person to amongst the Padstow locals.
