Purple Hazel bush,Corylus purpurea?

My bush is sprouting grteen coloured leaves and branches. Will they change back to purple or do they need cutting off?

Hi pashton, I googled this, and it turns out there are quite a few different types, with different habits, I would suggest you google it, then you can find the one you have on there.
If they are coming from the base your purple hazel is on a normal green stock. If you don't cut the green back the green is likely to take over and you will get less and less purple.

Thanks for your answers. I thought that might be the case.Obviously the root stock is much more vigorous.
I'm in full agreement with mango, any green should be pruned back imediately to prevent reversion, this is also quite common with the corkscrew hezel, which will often send up straight stems from below the graft point.
