Philadelphia and it must be full fat or it goes sloppy
Full Fat Philidelphia or Aldi do one imaginatively called Soft Cheese in a silver and navy tub that you can find in the cheese section. Definitely not Dairylea. Cream Cheese frosting is delicious by the way - especially on carrot cakes.
Supermarket own-brand, full fat. Definitely not Dairylea which is not cheese!
Philly . Not Dairylea, it's disgusting
Mascarpone works well.
Dairylea isn't cream cheese. You want Philadelphia FULL FAT do not try and use the reduce fat kind. They are bulked up with liquid which is fine for eating but you will get a nasty runny icing it will never hold up like a frosting should and taste terrible.
