Good ! Now perhaps we can have some more quality drama like we had last Saturday night. The Beeb should leave this dross to ITV and the satellite stations, and get on with the stuff they are really good at.

I entirely agree. Cheap TV production. Saturday nights have never been the same since reality shows kicked in. People thinking they have chance to become stars and all they are doing is just making fools of themselves. That isn't my idea of interesting viewing.

The problem with these talent shows is, they are always looking for a gimmick, something different. With 'The Voice' the judges had their backs to the performers, and I expect the 'X Factor' has something different. I think we should still have a Talent show but let's keep it simple. The act performs and the audience in the studio or at home make the vote.
Yes I'm afraid I do Balders ! It isn't my taste at all, but I accept that some people will prefer that kind of TV program to good quality drama.
It takes all sorts !
But my point is that while the BBC fill up their schedules with that sort of thing, they leave no room ( or no budget ) for anything else.

Vulcan...I would prefer that the BBC spend their money more wisely.
So-called reality shows have mushroomed over the years precisely because they are cheap to produce. But when the BBC next makes one of their marvelous Dickens adaptations, like Bleak House perhaps, it will be admired and sold all over the world.

Just for Noe-Schitt. I didn't watch this series but just in case you wanted to catch up on the needlework programmes on BBC2 you can catch up.
