25a Marco Polo 25b Christopher Columbus 25c David Livingstone 25d Henry Morton Stanley 25e Vasco da Gama In return: 24a =?, and 10b NZ or Iceland?
Question Author
10 B - could be either 24A - not convinced it's Rajastan
I have a reply to an email from Dr Graema Davis ( see http://graemedavis.blogspot.com/A%20Brit%20in%20Ic
eland.doc)
who says "The Blue Lagoon (Blaa Lonid) in Iceland (Grindavik) is a swimming pool where the hot water is a by-product of the geothermal power station. And yes, you have to pay to swim - in the region of 10 per adult."
E is Vasco de Gama - look at the image of the bust on the Corbis website - pretty close I think. Still cannot find 25b but I feel sure it is not Christopher Columbus or at least it does not look like any picture I have seen of him. 25b looks more 19th century. Max
25 b does not look much like Columbus - most photos of him have no beard. Possibly John Rae (check out Encarta 2003 for phot)
