Is it legal to wrap presents in newspaper to send through the post, in leiu of no brown paper, as long as the address is perfectly readable..? (quite adorable and quirky one would think!) xx

Probably. But it strong enough ? Can't be losing the wrapper and address mid journey.
Doesn't say that you can't, hippyhoppy. So long as the address is clear.

I don't think it would be illegal but not sure it'd be a good idea. Wouldn't the ink make the package a bit messy?
Remember that it's a often machine that looks for the address and postcode on the package, rather than a human being. A lot of extra text all over the place isn't going to make its job any easier!

(I don't use brown paper anyway. Rubble sacks and duct tape are far better!)
Peole wrapping presents in newspaper...

Is this a sign of the times?
Lol
Is that the case with packages, Chris? Are they machine-read? I thought packages were hand-sorted and only regular-sized letters went through the reading machines, though I could be wrong, of course.
Talbot, with me the newspaper IS the present. Don't go looking for the socks and chocs inside.

I use newspaper and magazine pages for wrapping......quizzy folk get quiz pages.....sporty one the sports pages.....teen granddaughter the fashion pages.....and anyone I feel should be married off gets the lonely hearts pages......☺
