Why are the Left not concerned about mass immigration and the detrimental effect on our infrastructure, the invasion of Europe, the threat of Islam on our culture, the increase in knife crime, and the changing face of Britain?

Others can add to this list if they wish.

Back from the day job and back into the grown up debate.
AOG, in my first post I actually addressed your points in order - although admittedly not knife crime.
Then when some more intelligent comment came along, I've chipped in with that.
You want to know about my ancestry? 'British enough to be taxed conscripted' should be enough in the context of this thread.
You seem very concerned with ancestry in general. Worth noting that the place where you get so many of your interesting and entertaining posts is owned by a billionaire who has never paid tax in the UK, with no family background involved with owt as mucky as actually carrying a kitbag for Britain.
So then AOG, if ancestry is that important to having an opinion (and you did actually ask for opinions) tell us all just how your genes qualify you to occupy such a lofty seat of judgement.
The skean dhu has been worn ceremonially for many, many years. Most Sikhs seem to adopt a dagger badge to take the place of a kukri. I can't think of an occasion where a ceremonial skean dhu has been used as a weapon (I'm sure someone will find one and put me right :) ).

Knife crime increases because guns are hard to get hold of and even kids can borrow a vegetable knife. Just threw this in.
"I apologise when I earlier said no one from the Left had answered my question, I have only just come across your answer, and thank you for your interesting views.

The only criticism that I have to make is that you had to spoil it all by your insulting 'Teenager' remark in your last paragraph, totally uncalled for in my opinion"

...you must have really pulled out the stops to nit-pick that detail AOG!
Still, I'm glad you're reading Kromovaracun's responses.

I still maintain that your idea of who you consider to be left wing here is questionable.
To be honest I don't think you have a clue unless someone spells it out for you - the rest are presumed to be 'lefties' until proved 'innocent'.
A: SHUT YOUR FESTERING GOB, YOU TIT! YOUR TYPE MAKES ME PUKE!

YOU VACUOUS STUFFY-NOSED MALODOROUS PERVERT!!!

M: Yes, but I came here for an argument!!

A: OH! Oh! I'm sorry! This is abuse!

M: Oh! Oh I see!

A: Aha! No, you want room 12A, next door.

M: Oh...Sorry...

A: Not at all!

A: (under his breath) stupid git.
Och awa an bile yer heid ya daft gowk!

If nothing else has come out of this long 'debate', one thing has certainly, and that is the fact that not many ABers are prepared to come out of the closet and admit to being from the Left, which in turn has caused one to guess who are, simply by reading their anti-Right input.

Not really rocket science is it?

I think you've misunderstood and then some why there was so little engagement with your original question -- which could just as easily have read "explain to me why you don't give a toss about what's going on in our world" without changing the tone much. Who wants to engage seriously with that? Not that many people, to be honest.

Imagine the inverse of the question: "Why are the right not concerned about the suffering and horror driving people away from their homes and into a foreign land where the people largely distrust their motives; the disparity of wealth and inequality of opportunity; the rise of horrific prejudices leading to an entire subgroup of our culture being blacklisted because of a tenuous association with terrorists, these prejudices only serving to exacerbate the problem, and increasing Anglo-Scottish tensions that could soon serve to pull this once-great country apart?"

It's a question loaded with crass and mistaken assumptions about how people think. At least, I hope it is. But I bet "the right" wouldn't be all that keen on engaging with the above emotive language either.
