I think the whole set up wants to upgrade ie everything has expired.

I got new passwords from them - they say ooop doesn't match

I have tried 3 times - next time the passwords works - they are saying name does not match. so don't know what to do now.
Jenny, I sometimes have that problem (saying wrong password, when I know I entered it correctly). Eventually I can log in. I wonder if it's a glitch in the software as it seems to right itself after a while.

mrs chappie - think it is too mucked up re names and passwords now to ever get in. What could when I get the time could I do now.

^^^^^ is there a contact button - never had this problem before.
Jenny, there is, but I found I was going round in circles the other day when I was trying to get in touch with them. I ended up doing a 'Live Chat' but it was awkward and quite frustrating. Best to actually speak to someone in the phone if you can.

Try this:

In the top left-hand corner, click on Help & Contact.
On the right-hand side of the page, click on Browse by topic.
Scroll down to Account and click on it.
Scroll down and click on Updating account information.
Scroll down and click on Changing your password.

It will give you instructions on how to change your password, but ignore it and click on Contact Us at the bottom of the page.

The first button on the left is 'Call Me'. Click on that and hopefully they will ring you back. It should also say how long the waiting time is.

I've just tried it and that's what's coming up for me - I do hope it comes up for you, as it seems to change on a regular basis. :o(

Good luck with it, hope you get sorted.
I did of course mean someone ON the phone. :o)
Sorry Jenny, I've just realised you have to sign in before you can get to see the Help options. :o(

I hope that ^^^will show as a link, with a bit of luck it may help.
Just a thought Jenny based on a recent experience of a friend - if your wifi connection is a bit slow, or your laptop is running sluggishly, or you have a slow internet connection, there can be a sort of time delay between Ebay and your computer 'shaking hands'. So multile login attempts kind of cross over each other and everything gets confused. try your best to speak to someone on the 'call me back' option, good luck.
eBay has been a bit strange over the week end.
They seem to have increased security, they wanted me to enter a 5 digit number as well as my password. You know the security numbers with 'wonky' figures . I was certain I got them correct but it just kept on saying 'try again' over and over. Left it and it was fine the next day.
If theya re saying your password isn't strong enough it sounds to me as if you are trying to register a new password
Any luck with it, Jenny?
