Ratty Synthetic Fur On My Hood

I have now taken my padded jacket out of storage and notice the 'fur' around the collar is not looking smart at all
Any advice to spruce it up?

I brush mine working my way round a little at a time, and then give it a good shake.

Try dusting it with Fuller's Earth powder then brushing it out.

apropos of fur on hoods - just watched Fake Britain which mentioned that some coats sold with 'fake fur ' is in fact real fur A bit upsetting if you don't want to wear real fur
