I doubt that the doctor would have found anything, so it's just a precaution. I had serious double vision for a two weeks last year and the doctor just told me to see my optician -who said see my doctor. He then looked in my eyes again and couldn't see anything and just said come back if the problem happens again.
They have done well to get a letter back to you by today. After a brain scan there was no letter and it took nearly 2 weeks for the results to reach my doctor
Yes I'd stamp my feet and ask the doctor. Whatever assurance you're given on here you're still going to worry and that's not fair, especially all over Christmas.
No, that seems to be routine behaviour in Neurology on the basis of whatever is or isn't there, it isn't going to kill you in 6 weeks, whenever the treatment is started.
I don't know the full details, but from what you have posted, it doesn't seem to be " life threatening."
If they'd found something serious they would have told you by now. When my mum's mobility and comprehension were suddenly lacking, she had a scan and we were immediately told the grim news. I don't think you need to worry.
