I had a tattoo done on my ankle on Saturday, so it's nice and scabby! Unfortunatley, I've been bitten by a midge or a flea or something right on the edge of the tattoo, and it's driving me mad!

Will it affect the healing at all? Should I be even more careful than normal about keeping it clean?

How the heck can I stop it itching!!

Thanks everyone

As long as you don't scratch it, it won't affect the tattoo.

If you go to the chemist you can buy some creme for insect bites/stings which will stop the itching. Can't remember what it's called but if you apply that to the bite only you should be fine. as it's a creme it doesn't matter if you get a little bit on the tattoo

try a antihistamine tablet great for stopping itching as well as hay fever
