What would the phrase - We went all-out - mean to a Canadian? In America, in one context, this would mean - We're living Frivolously - or - we're throwing responsibilites to the wind - I'm just curious if someone from Toronto might hear something vastly different .

If someone said "We went all out..." It would mean we did our best, no expense was spared.

i.e. If you went to a fantastic party with great food and wonderful entainment you could say "The organizers went all out with that party!"
