just made it home..only just..abandoned cars all over the place..last 3 miles crawled in 2nd gear, several 180 spins...hairy hairy hairy...need to say a few Hail Marys to repent the bad language !! just south of Edinburgh..anywhere else this bad ?
Lol..Jo .Flash in the pan .We've had more than our fair share of the piddling constant rain and drizzle ..It's now blowing a gale out there and raining again after a fairly nice day.I could do with some nice crisp dry weather for my old bones:)
Rain and gales here for ever, it seems lately. They've promised a tiny bit of respite for Friday, so I'm going to get as much done in the garden as possible. Back to rain and 70 mph wind for at least another week after that.
Last time we had snow, it fell 12 ft deep. Like you say, Minty, cars abandoned, etc. It happened so fast and unexpectedly, people were caught unaware.
I fancy a trip to Bedford, Tilly. Haven't been back since 2003! I have a full bottle of Disaronno if that's any good?
Minty, you need to get down here to the tropical coast of Sussex !! The postie is still in his shorts, there are still people wandering around without jackets. Some are still wearing flip flops. It's freakishly, creepily warm for December. The spring bulbs are shooting up. I think we're in for a shock soon when the weather eventually turns and we are under a ton of snow. I bought a fancy schmancy snow shovel 5 years ago after our last heavy fall and it's still hanging in the cupboard, with it's price tag on. It's all virginal and pristine and still awaiting it's trial run. Maybe this year, it'll happen. Watch this space...
