radio code

can anyone tell me how i input the code for a radio that goes into an old rover i think the radio is a phillips. i've got the code but cant seem to input it. the radio has got 3 round buttons(volume,balance, and tone) then 3 square buttons( mono, loud and autostore) then its got 2 search buttons and then numbers 1-4. it is a tape player.

Press button 1 then, it is either the search button to go up a number at a time ot the volume. Once you have reached your required number for your first code digit, then press buttob 2 for your next and so on.
