Burning A Cd To Play On Portable Cd Player
I have recently bought a digital download of a classical music CD.
This was saved on my PC as a .mp3 file and plays perfectly well on my computer.
However, I would like to be able to copy this music onto a CD so that I can play it on either of my conventional CD players. I therefore converted the mp3 file to a .wma file (and also, separately, to a .wav). These new files I have saved into separate folders on my desktop. Both files play perfectly OK on my computer but when I burn them to CD using either WMC and Nero although the discs burn OK - and play satisfactorily on my PC, the CD won't play on either of my stand-alone CD players.
I should perhaps add that I have tried using both CD-R and CD-RW discs.
I am sure I have done this sort of thing before with 100% success.
Can someone pleas advise what, if anything I am doing wrong this time?
Thanks

Audio CDs are written with a completely different format to data CDs so, as others have said, you need to tell it that it's an audio disc you are creating. There is also a very good chance that your stand-alone CD player will NOT accept CD-RW discs, so try with CD-R discs.
