What's missing?

What do you miss most when you go away?

I mean from home or from your friends/family.

My two sons playing their computer games too loud, their mates constantly banging on the door and asking for them, the neighbours dogs barking when a car pulls up and setting my two dogs off, the church bells every Tuesday night and sunday morning, the sound of the lorries rumbling over the grid at the top of the street, loads of things. When can i leave?

I miss sleeping in my own bed the most - probably sounds weird but I dont sleep very well in other beds - also I have to take my own pillow with me as Im a bit funny about that sort of thing!!!

the internet and the fact that i could be missing out of winning prizes as i do dozens every week, also miss my own bed, and the worst thing is if you want to eat out just in cafes ect not in fancy restaurants you find that everything is chips and i long for my mashed potatoes and yorkshire pudding.

I don't miss anything, I love going away! But thats probably as I always expect everything will be the same when i get back.

Ahh leandrews Ive been away from the UK since October- Im backpacking and I miss......

My family, friends, tetley tea bags, dairy milk, british milk, british bread, river island, british accents, fish suppers, eastenders, coronation street, rich tea biccies, hob nobs, scampi fries, hula hoops, walkers crisps, mccoys, chinese takeaways, pork sausages, bacon, tescos supermarket, haagen dazs, walnut whips, tuc crackers, dry roasted peanuts, and it goes on and on and on. The only thing Australians do good is crumpets- they are nicer here than home but thats it !! :o(
