I don't actually celebrate Christmas so I don't think you're being mean :-)
it's always cost me more for the stamp than the card i send to my sister in america, i've learned to live with it

I feel the same, Jordy. I do enjoy the time off with OH and meeting up with family though.
I myself am just back from the post office and am shocked at how much it cost me to send my cards abroad this year. One card cost £4 to send!!!!! And the card itself only cost me a £1. All in all I spent £16 on stamps to send cards to USA. This is the last year for me.
Isn't that how most of us celebrate Christmas?
Thanks murray, same to you x

My post wasn't addressed at you Jordyboy. Although my earlier one, which you seem to have ignored, was.

Define 'something better'.
Zacs...Only because many of us have forced time off work otherwise we wouldn't fit it all in.

So does our opinion matter to you more than your wife’s.....if so you marriage is deffo at risk!

blimey you must buy cheap calenders!
E Cards are great to send overseas, the site I use is less than £10 a year membership and you can send cards all year round - there's a good choice too.

I make hand crafted ones for those dear to me and buy my daughters both a calendar/organiser.

Agree with your wife, but you do make me giggle!

it never too late for a frying pan to the head and a little nighttime gardening!!
I'm with you here Jordy, even though I do re-cycle.
I don't send cards, I don't agonise over present buying, I ask people what they would like then order on-line. I don't wrap, what's the point, they know what they are getting anyway. I begrudge purchasing stamps.
I'm a tightfisted old git who nearly couldn't be bothered to reply to your post!!!!
PS: I hope you realise Jordyboy that this has used up a microscopic bit of my monthly internet allowance.
;-).
