I hate dressing the tree. I have little patience for it.

I am now going to have a glass of wine. I deserve it.

Writing the cards. As well as all the family and friends ones I also do cards for all the people at our U3A Christmas lunch club that I organise. This year there are 44 people coming so a lot of cards as a lot are single. I also did cards for all on the committee.

I fail to see the point of writing cards to people you see regularly. I've stopped doing it and cut my card list by half. The money I would have spent on cards and postage goes to a different charity each year.
